Before veneers

Instead of porcelain veneers, this patient had had composite veneers placed 'freehand' several years before. Although the technique is cheaper, composite is unable to withstand the rigours of longterm functioning and quickly becomes unsightly and worn, as can clearly be seen here.

After veneers

This was quite a difficult case, as the patient did not want to undergo gum surgery to increase the height of the new veneers, which meant that the teeth had to be lengthened in order to produce aesthetic proportions. In the event, I think that it is perfectly judged and that a very elegant result has been achieved.
